Free hamburgers and job opportunities available at Caldwell’s hiring event, Sept. 26

Approximately 2,300 Canyon County employers continue to search for qualified candidates. There are currently 9,300 unique job postings in the area.

To connect job seekers with these various career opportunities, the Idaho Department of Labor is hosting a hiring event, Thursday, Sept. 26.

The event is from 3 to 6 p.m. at the department's Caldwell office, located at 4514 Thomas Jefferson St.

"This hiring event will offer Canyon County job seekers an opportunity to connect with employers across various industries," Labor Economist Jan Roeser said.

Many businesses are planning to attend including United States Bakery (Franz), Rise Services Inc., T-Mobile, Atlas Staffing, TSA, Equus Workforce Solutions, Amazon, Team Mazda, Snake River Correctional Institution, Gem State Staffing, Superior Fence & Rail of Treasure Valley, Bogus Basin and more.

Available job openings include auto services technicians, concrete associates, bakery workers, correctional officers, fence installers, teacher assistants, receptionists and more.

CTI Foods, United States Bakery (Franz) and Simplot will offer free hamburgers and french fries to the first 100 attendees.

The event is free to attend. Job applicants are encouraged to bring a resume and be prepared to speak directly with company recruiters and human resource personnel.
