Interview highlights recent Risch efforts to protect women's sports, stop Lava Ridge
WASHINGTON - On Thursday, U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-Idaho) spoke with the Neal Larson Show on NewsTalk 107.9 about his staunch support for President-elect Donald Trump and advancing the America First agenda.
Risch also discussed his letter demanding the Mountain West Conference ban biological males from competing in women's sports and legislation to stop the Lava Ridge Wind Project in Southern Idaho.

On Trump Cabinet Appointments:
"I have voted for every single appointment that Donald Trump has ever made. I have carried them on the [Senate] floor."
"Not many people in Idaho have done more for him than I have. I worked with him when he was president, before I was ranking member and then chairman of the [Senate] Foreign Relations Committee, getting his appointments across the line. I'm going to do the exact same this time. I'm already working hard at it with him and his team."
"We're going to work really hard to get Donald Trump and his agenda pushed forward. Like I said, I have voted for every appointment he's ever made. I have every intention of pressing the ones that he's made and I'm working at it hard for Idahoans."
"We didn't win [the election] by just a little. We won it in a landslide."
"We're going to get right behind Donald Trump. He has a mandate. It's him who is responsible for this."
"We're going to Make America Great Again. We're moving away from woke. We're moving away from the left. This is a good time to be an American."
On Protecting Women's Sports:
"Kudos to the Boise State University for their [women's] volleyball team for refusing to play a team that's got a transgender person-a male-on their women's team. They're a women's team. They want to play a women's team, not a women's team that's salted with played that have a physical advantage because they're male."
On Lava Ridge:
"With the election of President Trump, I'm optimistic we're going to [stop Lava Ridge] …What this [bill] does is open up more avenues for me. We're going to get this done. This thing is just nonsensical. Nobody in Idaho wants it except those who have a financial interest."
