After tonight's fourth and final debate in New York's 22nd Congressional District, MAGA extremist Brandon Williams made it clear he and Donald Trump are on the same page when it comes to deriding the CHIPS Act - which is bringing billions of dollars in investments and creating thousands of jobs in New York's 22nd Congressional District.
During the debate, Brandon Williams refused to condemn Trump's comment that the CHIPS Act is "so bad."
Flashback to August 2022, Williams branded the CHIPS and Science Act as a "corporate welfare package." But following the passage of this historic legislation, Micron announced it would invest up to $100 billion to build a computer chip factory in NY-22's Clay and create 50,000 jobs, the largest single private investment in New York's history. Micron's CEO said of the factory plans, "There is no doubt that without the CHIPS Act, we would not be here today."
DCCC Spokesperson Ellie Dougherty:
"Brandon Williams siding with Donald Trump's attacks on the CHIPS Act in tonight's debate sums up his failed term in Congress: He's completely out of touch with the needs and values of Central New York and Mohawk Valley families in every way, and voters will reject him next Tuesday."
