FIVE-YEAR FOREST MANAGEMENT SCHEDULE
The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry & Fire Protection 2024-2028 Five-Year Forest Management Schedule is available for public review. Per AS 38.05.113 this is a scoping document that outlines the proposed forest management activity to be undertaken on State land over the schedule period. The Five-Year Schedule is not a decision document.
The public is invited to comment on any aspect of the Five-Year Forest Management Schedule. Comments should be delivered to the Alaska Division of Forestry and must be received by the close of business at the Division of Forestry's office by January 15, 2025. This document can be viewed at the Area Office and public library in Haines, the State of Alaska's on-line public notice website http://notice.alaska.gov/217764 as well as the Division of Forestry's website http://forestry.alaska.gov/timber/haines#fiveyear.
Prior to completing projects proposed in the schedule the Division of Forestry & Fire Protection will follow statutory requirements and regulations providing additional public comment opportunities on the details of a project listed in this document.
