DEER IN HEADLIGHTS: No Solutions From Laurie Buckhout!

Laurie Buckhout : "Honestly, that is outside of my realm right now. I don't know."

Laurie Buckhout was given full reign to lay out her plans for immigration in an interview with Spectrum News, but she instantly balked when pressed on a tangible, specific solution.

Spectrum News: "What does immigration look like in terms of legislation? Do you find bipartisan agreement?"

Laurie Buckhout: "I have not. I mean, that is a big issue. I have not begun to write some sort of an immigration bill myself. I can't tell you what it looks like right now."

This is a stark contrast to Congressman Don Davis who voted to secure the border with H.R. 3602, End the Border Catastrophe Act and for critical border security funding in the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations of 2025. Davis is also sponsoring H.R. 4988, Modern Authentication of Pharmaceuticals Act, critical legislation to combat fentanyl.

"It's all talking points but no solutions from Laurie Buckhout. While Don Davis has been to the border three times and is working to secure the border, Buckhout still hasn't even come up with the concept of a plan for one of the highest priority issues for North Carolina families."
