October 26, 2024 01:13

A man is missing from the Powellhurst-Gilbert neighborhood and the Portland Police Bureau is asking the public to keep an eye out for him.

On Friday, October 25, 2024, at about 9:00 a.m., Craciun Lazar, 87, was last seen at his family's home in the 3300 block of Southeast 85th Avenue. He left sometime during the day and his family and police officers have been unable to locate him. His family believes he may have tried to walk toward the WinCo at 7979 Southeast Powell Boulevard to purchase cat food.

Craciun Lazar (pronounced cruh-SHOON luh-ZAHR) is an 87-year-old Caucasian male, 5'4" in height, with a thin build. It's unknown what clothing he's wearing, and he may or may not be wearing glasses. He is believed to be pushing a blue wheelchair. He speaks Romanian and does not understand English.

Craciun takes daily medication and does not have it with him. He sometimes gets confused and may not be able to find his way home.

If anyone sees him or has information about where he is now, please call 911. If anyone has other information about this case, please e-mail [email protected] and reference case number 24-274158.
