The Newest Tech and Media Newsletters on Flipboard

Newsletters from independent creators and journalists have been on the rise for some time now, and recently there have been some fantastic new ones that cover technology and media. Since these two topics are very popular on Flipboard, we wanted to be sure you could access the best tech and media newsletters here too.

We're starting with five excellent tech journalists and their new offerings. Each newsletter has a dedicated Flipboard Magazine, which you can follow in your Flipboard app. When there's a new newsletter published, you'll see it in your For You feed and be able to dive into the stories, share them with others, and subscribe to the publications if you wish.

Crazy Stupid Tech: Written by Om Malik and Fred Vogelstein, this newsletter dives into the "tech-of-tech" and the advancements that shape our future. "As Silicon Valley's influence extends deeper into all corners of our economy and lives, there have never been more interesting, crazy, stupid and intriguing ideas and technologies out there," the journalists explain.

Plugged In: Fast Company's global technology editor Harry McCracken dives into the latest in tech - from AI breakthroughs to gadget reveals to perspectives on Internet history. On Flipboard, McCracken curates the weekly digest alongside other stories of interest to the tech reader.

Status: Created by veteran media reporter Oliver Darcy, Status delivers hard-hitting news, investigative reporting, and expert insights on key issues involving the Fourth Estate, Hollywood and Silicon Valley. "There is no sugarcoating, no pulling punches, no sparing sensitive egos - just the unvarnished truth about the companies and individuals who shape our world," Darcy writes. The daily briefing publishes each evening, Sunday through Thursday.

The AI Economy: A curated news roundup exploring AI's impact on business, work, society and technology. Published on Fridays by tech journalist Ken Yeung.

The Torment Nexus: Matthew Ingram was the chief digital writer for the Columbia Journalism review and also publishes a daily newsletter called "When the Going Gets Weird." Torment Nexus, however, is a more serious newsletter with his thoughts about technology and culture. "What I'm hoping to do with this newsletter is to bring a critical eye and some historical context to discussions of how technology impacts both individual users and society as a whole," Ingram says.
