Changed traffic and parking conditions for Kangaroo Point and Fortitude Valley

Traffic and parking changes will be in place from 1-9am Sunday 27 October 2024 in Kangaroo Point and Fortitude Valley due to a Melt festival installation.

Travel will be free on the Clem 7 in both directions during this time.

Kangaroo Point:

The following roads will be closed during this time:

  • Double lane closure on Shafston Avenue between Main Street and Salstone Street
  • Parking lane closure on River Terrace at Main Street intersection (outside Joey's)
  • Single lane closure on Main Street between Quinton Street and Paton Street

Fortitude Valley:

The following roads will be closed during this time:

  • Lane closure on Gipps Street between Wickham Street and Ann Street
  • Half closure on Ann Street between Marshall Street and Winn Street
  • Full closure on Kemp Place between Ann Street and Story Bridge
  • Half closure on Ivory Street between Brunswick Street and Harrison Lane
  • Full closure on Bowen Terrace between Bowen Street and Harcourt Street
  • Half closure on McLachlan Street between Kemp Place and Brunswick Street
  • Full closure on Martin Street between Brunswick Street and Harrison Lane
  • Half closure on Malt Street

The following roads will be closed from 5-9am on 27 October 2024

  • Full closure on Ivory Lane
  • Parking conditions will also temporarily change on Martin Street, Harrison Lane and Marshall Street, Fortitude Valley to 'No Standing Tow Away' during this time.

Police, traffic controllers and signage will be in place to assist motorists, buses and pedestrians.

Diversions routes will be in place, with all detours and diversions clearly signed on the day.
