Fortinet Training Institute Wins Industry Accolades

The Fortinet Training Institute has received various industry awards and accolades that highlight Fortinet's commitment to cybersecurity training and certification. These industry recognitions highlight Fortinet's commitment to closing the cybersecurity skills gap and the company's ongoing investment in training and certification, pledging to train 1 million people on cybersecurity by 2026. Fortinet strives to deliver the best cybersecurity training and certification program in the industry.

The Evolution of Cybersecurity Training at Fortinet

In 2004, Fortinet introduced its first certification program, which included the designations Fortinet Certified Network Security Administrator (FCNSA) and Fortinet Certified Network Security Professional (FCNSP). Since the launch of these initial designations, the team has made enhancements to the Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) Certification program to focus on role-based training aligned to in-demand careers, such as cloud security specialists and security operations center (SOC) analysts. A recent Fortinet report found that these are the two most sought-after roles in cybersecurity. These latest program enhancements went into effect last year, providing multiple certification options to better drill down into various areas of expertise.

The ecosystem supporting this program has also evolved from a small number of Authorized Training Centers (ATCs) to a global network in more than 150 countries and territories, with more than 700 academic partners and a growing number of select nonprofit organizations.

While the ever-evolving threat landscape has driven the need for the Fortinet NSE certification program to expand, the quality of the program is a direct result of continued corporate investment as well as the long-standing dedication of our curriculum development team: members of the Fortinet Training Institute, many of our Fortinet Certified Trainers (FCTs), and ATCs. Our curriculum development team takes the lead on the program's development. Still, several FCTs have been teaching Fortinet courses since the start of the program and have driven many enhancements over the years.

In addition to certification opportunities, Fortinet also offers its Security Awareness and Training service, a SaaS-based offering, that delivers timely and current awareness training for organizations of all shapes and sizes on today's cybersecurity threats. The service helps IT, security, and compliance leaders build a cyber-aware culture where employees recognize and avoid falling victim to cyberattacks. For compliance-sensitive organizations, the service also helps satisfy regulatory or industry compliance training requirements. The Fortinet Security Awareness and Training service features engaging and interactive content delivered in a variety of formats, periodic quizzes and knowledge checks, up-to-date dashboards of campaign and user activity, an intuitive interface, and the ability to co-brand and customize the program.
