Wayne County to begin road resurfacing project

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WAYNE COUNTY TO BEGIN ROAD RESURFACING PROJECT IN THE CITY OF WESTLAND

WAYNE COUNTY, MI - Wayne County Department of Public Services has announced the road resurfacing schedule and traffic plan for Wayne Road between W. Warren Ave and Central City Parkway, located within the City of Westland. This is a 3-day project from 4:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and closures will be implemented only during those hours. This project will begin on November 14, 2024, subject to weather conditions and unforeseen delays.

Wayne Road - Southbound/ two right lanes between W. Warren Ave and Central City Parkway

  • Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane and kept on the right lane.
  • Southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane and diverted to the left lane of the Northboundtraffic side.
  • Drivers are advised to find an alternative route to avoid delays.

Wayne Road - (Middle three lanes) Northbound/ Left Lane, Center Lane, & Southbound/ Left Lane between W. Warren Ave and Central City Parkway

  • Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane and traffic will be kept on the right lane.
  • Southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane and traffic will be kept on the right lane.
  • Drivers are advised to find an alternative route to avoid delays.
