City Offices Closed for Thanksgiving

City of Waco offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29, 2024. Details on closures for other City of Waco services, departments, and contracted partners are included below.

Solid Waste

Residents with a Thursday trash collection day will have their gray waste carts and blue recycling carts collected earlier on Wednesday, Nov. 27. The Friday, Nov. 29 route will be collected as usual.

Solid Waste offices and Cobbs Recycling Center will be closed on both Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29. However, the landfill will only be closed on Thursday.

Paying Your Water Bill

The drive-thru Water Office located at 425 Franklin Ave. will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29, 2024. However, water customers can pay their bill by phone at (254) 299-2489 or online at mywacowater.com.

Other Departments

Waco-McLennan Public Health will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29.

All Waco-McLennan County Library locations will close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27 and will remain closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29.

The following City of Waco departments or contracted partners will only be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28:

• Cameron Park Zoo
• Cottonwood Creek Golf Course
• Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum
• Waco Mammoth National Monument
• Waco Transit System
