Concert of the State Symphonic Orchestra of Armenia in Los Angeles

On June 29 the State Symphonic Orchestra of Armenia had a concert in the famous Walt Disney Music hall of Los Angeles. This was the last of three concerts, that the Orchestra has played in the US (the other two in Boston and New York) during their first ever tour in America. Sergey Smbatyan, the conductor of the orchestra and Sergey Khacahtryan, world famous violinist, took the fully booked hall to the majestic world of Aram Khachatrurian for several hours. The concert program was tailored exclusively from Khacaturian's repertoire: "Triumphal Poem", Violin Concerto in D minor, pieces from Ballet suites "Gayane" and "Spartacus". The concert had a fantastic success and the audience "was not allowing" the musicians to leave the stage, they had several encore presentations.
