REMINDER: Anthony D’Esposito Voted Against Nassau County Families’ Priorities

One year ago today, vulnerable New York Republican Anthony D'Esposito worked overtime to side with his extreme party bosses by voting for devastating cuts to law enforcement, security aid for Israel, education, Social Security access, and small businesses in MAGA Republicans' failed C.R.

No matter what Anthony D'Esposito tells Nassau County families in the midst of a tough re-election campaign, the truth is that D'Esposito voted to:

  • Defund law enforcement by slashing funding for the FBI, ATF, and other programs that could lead to the elimination of hundreds of state and local law enforcement nationwide.

  • Cut nearly $1 billion in security aid to Israel in addition to funding to help combat antisemitism, slashing critical resources for Holocaust education, and helping law enforcement respond to hate crimes.

  • Cut funding for the Social Security Administration (SSA) that could lead to closing SSA field offices that seniors rely on.

  • Slash education funding that could lead to the loss of nearly 150,000 teachers and classroom staff and kick 290,000 kids out of Head Start.

  • Cut SBA Entrepreneurial Development programs that support small businesses by 30%, potentially cutting support to 400,000 small businesses.

DCCC Spokesperson Ellie Dougherty:
"One year ago, Anthony D'Esposito caved to his extreme party bosses to vote against Nassau County families' priorities. D'Esposito has continued to prove he's out of touch with New York's 4th Congressional District and will be held accountable in November."
