USI Friday Night in the Forum film series returns this Fall

The University of Southern Indiana College of Liberal Arts and English Department will host the Friday Night in the Forum film series on Fridays beginning November 1 and running through December 6. All films will be shown with English subtitles and will begin at 7 p.m. in WA1 (Forum I), which can be accessed from the first floor of the Forum Wing in the Wright Administration Building. The series is free and open to the public.

The venue features stadium seating, digital projection and digital surround sound. Immediately following each film, Braysmith will lead an informal discussion.

Five films have been selected for the fall series:

  • November 1: Playtime
  • November 8: Fallen Leaves
  • November 15:La Dolce Vita
  • November 22:A Zed & Two Noughts
  • December 6: Seven Samurai

"We are showing four classic art films along with a contemporary film," says Eric Braysmith, Lecturer in English. "Our discussions will hinge on just why these classics stand out both artistically and historically--as well as why these stand out to me personally."
