Nov. 22, 2024 - At 7:03 a.m. today, Oak Park Police Officers responded to a call of an overturned vehicle in the roadway and possible shots fired on the 6300 block of Roosevelt Rd. in Oak Pak.
Officers arrived on scene and observed an overturned vehicle (white 2013 Jaguar XJ) on the 6400 block of Roosevelt Rd. that had appeared to have struck a nearby cement barricade and tree. Officers determined that the person inside, Scott Robinson (male Black, Chicago resident, 34 years old), had been shot. The scene was secured and the Oak Park Fire Department arrived to treat the victim. Robinson was removed from the vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds and transported to Loyola University Medical Center in critical condition. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 7:45 a.m.

From a gas station, a witness observed a possible offender in the roadway shooting into Robinson's vehicle. The vehicle traveled short distance westbound on Roosevelt until it crashed. The witness then looked back and the offender had fled the scene.
