Hancock Lumber has expanded direct-to-consumer services through its custom-built e-commerce platform, shop.HancockLumber.com. "Transparency and customer intimacy are two of our core values and were foundational in building out our new online experience that launched in May 2022," CMO Erin Plummer commented. "One of our goals for the online store was to provide access to all products, resources, and value-added tools to current and potential customers 24/7, 365 days of the year." Even with the focus on the digital landscape, Hancock continues to prioritize meeting customers with a human when and where they are ready for it.
Hancock has a dedicated online Project Pro, Jon Ternosky, whose focus is helping customers who initiate their shopping experience and building process through our website. Whether you are simply looking to place a quick materials order and get it scheduled for pick-up or delivery or you're looking for additional guidance to estimate or build a materials list, Jon has you covered.
"I enjoy working with customers throughout Maine and New Hampshire that connect with Hancock Lumber through their online search. We continue to add products and resources to our online experience to help customers wherever they are with their project. If you ever have any questions throughout the process, I'm here to help!"

Orders can be placed online for all in-stock product including framing lumber, building materials, siding, insulation, pine and trim boards, decking, cabinetry, hardware, and more-and customers choose pickup or delivery upon checking out. With 24-hour account access online, customers can also log in and shop with their customer dashboard; build a cart or quote; assign orders to a specific job for billing and delivery; access literature, warranties, and installation instructions; frequently purchased items; pay their bill online, view and download invoices and statements, check credits, and review purchase history.
"Innovation is something that continues to set Hancock Lumber apart," said Hancock Online GM, Kourtney McLean. "It's been exciting to be a part of our recent initiative to bring a modern-day online experience to our customers. With a 24/7 e-commerce shopping and account management platform, we are making it easier for our customers to find the information they need, when they need it."
Remote customers can take virtual walk-throughs of Hancock's nine full-service kitchen-design showrooms and zoom in on product specifics from different angles. One of the website's newest features allows customers to create their own design renderings using available product materials and colors. "The integrated design visualizer is a fantastic inspiration tool where users can mix and match siding, roofing, windows, cabinets, and more live on screen," Kourtney continued. "You can upload pictures of your current house or start with one of our images. Then you can swap out things like siding material or door style until you find what you like-the best part is that you will see the changes applied in real time." The tool is available for both exterior and interior projects.
