In preparation for the upcoming African Games, the African Union Sports Council (AUSC) convened an induction workshop for the newly appointed Technical Committee for the African Games (TCAG) from 20 to 22 November 2024 at the AU Headquarters in Addis Ababa.

The workshop covered key aspects of Games organization, including the TCAG's role, host city preparations, technical regulations, financial management, marketing, security, and legacy planning. The workshop also elected a new Bureau to lead the TCAG and discussed the 2027 African Games Protocol Agreement, Games portfolio and detailed timeline of the upcoming games in Egypt.
