NOAA Fisheries is publishing a Draft Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) for the Identification of Aquaculture Opportunity Areas (AOAs) in the Gulf of Mexico for public review.
NOAA Fisheries announces the availability of a draft Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) for the Identification of Aquaculture Opportunity Areas (AOAs) in U.S. Federal Waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The purpose of the Draft PEIS is to evaluate, in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the potential direct, indirect, and cumulative effects of identifying AOAs in the Gulf of Mexico.
