Kaufmann Takes Home Golfer of the Month Honors from the OVC

After taking home weekly honors in each of the first three weeks of the golf season, SIUE junior Brady Kaufmann has been named the Ohio Valley Conference men's Golfer of the Month for September.

The award is the first monthly award of the year, and the first of Kaufmann's career.

In three tournaments in September, Kaufmann earned an Individual Medalist honor, and collected two other runner-up finishes. He has an individual record of 303-2 this season.

The Jacksonville, Illinois, native has carded six rounds in the 60s and all eight rounds he has played have come in under par. He currently leads the OVC with a 68.1 scoring average.

Kaufmann and the Cougars return to the course for Wichita State's Grier Jones Invitational Sun.-Tue.
