Kirkland Advises Vitruvian Partners on Formation of €7.3 Billion Vitruvian Investment Partnership V

Kirkland & Ellis advised Vitruvian Partners on the formation of Vitruvian Investment Partnership V (VIP V), which recently held its final closing at €7.3 billion. The fund's original €6.5 billion target was significantly oversubscribed, and the fund represents a significant increase in Vitruvian's mandate over its predecessor fund. VIP V received strong support from both long-term supporters of Vitruvian and a wide range of new investors. The fund will continue Vitruvian's proprietary thematic investment strategy of Dynamic Situations, which the firm has pursued since its founding in 2006.

The Kirkland team was led by investment funds partners Amala Ejikeme and Richard Watkins and included associates Oliver Cutbill, Hannah Wilson and Alfie Ashton. The team also included investment funds partners Anna Alexandrou and Josh Westerholm and associates Fraser Burlingham, Robert Burke, Tom Clucas, Fiona Ding, Tommy Adeyefa and Marisa Stern; tax partners Alec Campbell, Alexander Cox, Ian Ferreira and Loviisa Langdon and associates Amena Charles and Mike Shelton; and financial services regulatory partner Prem Mohan and associate Raluca Dumitru.
