SRO’s honored for identifying suspected school cell phone thief

Our very own MPO LaRoche and Pfc. Echols, who serve as the School Resource Officers at Fort Dorchester High School, have been recognized with a Letter of Recognition for their exemplary service for the month of September 2024.

A cellphone was stolen at the library, and upon receiving a still photo of the suspect stealing the phone on September 11th, the officers immediately began an investigation. In less than 24 hours, they identified the suspect, interviewed him, and he returned the phone the next day.

We congratulate both officers for their outstanding service and commitment to maintaining a safe environment for Fort Dorchester High School's students and staff. Their role is invaluable, and we are grateful for their service.
