One-Way Traffic Control Next Week

Mariposa County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control next week on State Route-49 (SR-49), and SR-140 for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled as follows:

State Route 49

  • One-way traffic control from Harris Road to Stumpfield Mountain Road for drainage work beginning Monday, November 25, through Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

State Route 140

  • One-way traffic control from beginning of the passing lane in Catheys Valley to State Route 49 North for pavement work beginning Monday, November 25, through Wednesday, November 27, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Caltrans urges motorists traveling in the Sierras to #MoveOver and slow down when approaching Caltrans snow removal equipment on the highway. Please do not pass snowplows, graders, or sanders, unless instructed by the driver. Not only is it dangerous to you, other motorists, and our workers, it's also against the law. Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
