Federation of European Publishers (FEP) elects its First Woman President

The FEP elects Polish publisher Sonia Draga as its first woman President for 2024-2026 following their General Assembly.

On November 5, 2024, the Federation of European Publishers (FEP) met for its Autumn General Assembly, where Sonia Draga was elected as President for 2024-2026. The Polish publisher is based in Katowice and was elected Vice President in 2022 and will now replace Ricardo Franco Levi. Her previous office will be taken by Vice-President elect Phaedon Kidoniatis, a Greek publisher based in Athens. He will take on the office as President in 2026.

In addition, the FEP's new Treasurer is Latvian publisher Renate Punka from Riga. FEP's members further elected three Board Members: Catherine Blache (Counsellor in the French publisher association, SNE), Barbara Budrich, an academic publisher from Leverkusen (Germany) and Jesper Monthán, Director Nordic Business Development Bonnier Books (Stockholm, Sweden). The Board is elected for two years.

The IPA extends its congratulations to the newly elected President, Vice-President and Board members. IPA Secretary General, José Borghino attended the General Assembly and delivered an update on IPA's activities.
