U of M Crookston #3 among Top Public Schools - Regional Colleges (Midwest) in U.S. News and World Report 2025 rankings
The University of Minnesota Crookston retained its No. 3 status among Top Public Schools - Regional Colleges (Midwest) according to the newly released 2025 rankings by U.S. News and World Report. U of M Crookston has been ranked in the top four consecutively for over 25 years in that category.
Additional rankings earned by U of M Crookston for 2025 include Regional Colleges (Midwest) at No. 27 of 94 and Top Performers on Social Mobility - Regional Colleges (Midwest) at No. 23 of 81, both up from last year's rankings.
"We are very pleased with our 2025 rankings and continuing our 25-year presence at this echelon as one of the top public schools for regional colleges in the Midwest," said Chancellor Mary Holz-Clause.
Other campuses in the University of Minnesota System were also highlighted in the most recent rankings including the U of M Twin Cities which maintained its ranking of No. 23 in Top Public National Universities for the third consecutive year. U of M Duluth improved one spot to No. 20 in the Regional Universities Midwest category and U of M Morris advanced one place to No. 7 in the Top Public Schools - National Liberal Arts Colleges category. U of M Rochester is accredited with the Twin Cities campus and, as a result, their information is included in the Twin Cities ranking.
The U.S. News and World Report results reflect a wide variety of criteria, including graduation rates, student debt, faculty resources and expert opinion.
