TCPA announces agenda, registration of its annual meeting

Texas Corn Producers Association is excited to announce its annual meeting will be held virtually at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2024.

Registration for the meeting is now open for all dues-paying members of TCPA HERE.

Members will get the latest there is on several fronts, including:

• State of crop insurance in Texas and federal policy overview
  Matt Schertz with Schertz Strategies
• Lone Star Legislative Session overview and expectations
  Texas Representative Angelia Orr (TX-13)
• Overview of Texas Corn Producers Association's efforts
  TCPA President Jim Sugarek

Members will also have an opportunity to vote on directors with expiring terms and elect the association's officers.

During the meeting, TCPA will hold elections for the board seats in Regions 4 and 5, as well as three At-Large seats.

Current board members with expiring terms are:

• Region 4 - Daniel Berglund
• Region 5 - Colin Chopelas
• At-Large - Joe Reed
• At-Large - Wesley Spurlock
• At-Large - Dee Vaughan

The TCPA board of directors will also elect officers to a 1-year term.

Current officers are:

• Jim Sugarek, President | Bee County
• Hagen Hunt, Vice President | Hale County
• Chad Wetzel, Secretary/Treasurer | Grayson County
