Interface Named One of America’s Greenest Companies of 2025 by Newsweek

ATLANTA - November 26, 2024 - Interface, Inc. (NASDAQ: TILE), the global flooring solutions company and leader in sustainability, announced that Newsweek named it one of America's Greenest Companies of 2025. The recognition highlights the top U.S.- headquartered businesses dedicated to reducing their impact on the planet. Interface distinguished itself as a leader in sustainability, earning this achievement through its 30- year history of environmental achievements, ambitious climate targets, and commitment to becoming carbon negative by 2040.

As the only flooring company on the list, Interface reinforces its position as the industry's definitive sustainability leader. The manufacturer recently announced its decision to focus on direct carbon reduction and carbon storage, rather than offsets, to meet the urgency of the climate crisis. In its pursuit of absolute carbon reduction, Interface continues to invest in innovation and R&D projects that avoid, reduce, and store more carbon across its entire enterprise. Another key element of the company's carbon plan is to inspire others - within and beyond the flooring industry - creating a ripple effect that accelerates collective action and positive impacts.

"We're energized by continued recognition of our sustainability leadership, particularly our bold decision to accelerate our carbon reduction and carbon storage efforts, without the use of carbon offsets," said Laurel Hurd, CEO of Interface. "This acknowledgment by Newsweek reinforces that we are taking the necessary steps to reduce our impact and go 'all in' on becoming carbon negative. While there is more work ahead, we want to inspire others to set their own ambitious sustainability goals and take decisive action to lower carbon impacts across their products, operations, and supply chains."

The awards program, part of Newsweek's annual ranking in collaboration with Plant-A Insights and GIST Impact, is in its second year. Eligible companies must meet the European Union's sustainability standards, evaluating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues such as biodiversity, climate change, and human rights.
