Deadline to complete mandatory trainings extended

Are you one of the 40% who still need to complete their annual training? About 60% of UNM employees have completed their required annual training. To give everyone additional time, the deadline has been extended to Jan. 31, 2025.

These trainings are critical for fostering a safe, informed, and inclusive campus environment. The four required trainings are:

  • Prevention of Harassment and Discrimination (MT 2024E or MT 2024S)
  • Basic Annual Safety Training (BAST 2024)
  • Active Shooter on Campus: Run, Hide, Fight (ACSH 2024)
  • SANS Security Awareness Training 2024: Securing the Human

All trainings are available in Learning Central and have been automatically added to each employee's learning plan. Live training options for certain courses, including Basic Annual Safety Training (BAST) and Active Shooter Training, will also be offered to make it easier for employees. Visit UNM Mandatory Training Information to view live session details and register.

Why is this important?
These courses provide critical information on workplace safety, from accident prevention and harassment awareness to handling active shooter scenarios and enhancing cybersecurity. All employees, including regular and temporary staff, faculty, on-call workers, and student employees, must complete them.
