In Fiscal Year 2024, the City of Fort Worth yielded significant results through its collective litter control efforts.
Why it matters: Environmental Services, along with other City departments, have a variety of programs and services that aim to create and maintain a clean, safe and attractive city. Between citywide litter cleanups, volunteer-led cleanups, grant-funded programs, interdepartmental collaborations, partnerships with outside organizations and emergency cleanup responses, the City was able to make a positive impact for Fort Worth this year.
In FY24, a total of 19,666,130 pounds of litter and debris were collected and removed, through all collective litter control efforts. This includes 218,586 pounds of litter removed through citywide cleanup events and volunteer-led efforts.
Additional key accomplishments:
In FY25, all current litter control programs and services will continue. Six City-led litter cleanup events are scheduled.
Reporting litter: Residents can report litter and other issues through the MyFW app and the 311 Fort Worth Contact Center. They can also call 817-392-1234 or email for assistance.
