SPD Seeking Assistance in Locating Homicide Suspect

The Spokane Police Department is seeking the assistance of community members in locating a suspect in a homicide. On October 29th, 2024 SPD responded to the area of 3700 East 1st avenue after 911 received calls asking for law enforcement assistance.

Officers quickly responded, but it was discovered the victim had already been transported to a local hospital by a passing motorist. The victim was stabbed during an altercation and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

After interviewing witnesses, Detectives with SPD's Major Crimes Unit (MCU) have developed probable cause to arrest Orlando Jaramillo (33) for 2nd Degree Murder. Jaramillo is 5'9" and weighs roughly 160 pounds with brown eyes. Jaramillo has an extensive criminal history and should be considered armed and dangerous.
