15.11.2024This autumn, Adithya Kamaraj joined our Institute of Marketing & Global Management as a doctoral student. His research focuses on how the use of AI in exchange relationships influences consumers' perception of price fairness. He introduces himself in a profile.
I am excited to research consumer price fairness perceptions in AI-infused marketplace transactions. With the rapid growth of technology, AI in various forms (e.g., chatbots, humanoid robots) are continuously reshaping industry standards, and my research aims to explore the implications of these transformations within this dynamic landscape.
Additionally, being part of BFH Business School and the Institut Marketing & Global Management offers a unique chance to leverage its extensive network and resources. I also see living and working in the wonderful city of Bern as a great opportunity, offering a rich environment both professionally and personally.
Furthermore, the opportunity to work closely with esteemed researchers like Prof. Dr. Sven Feurer, Dr. Elisa Konya-Baumbach, Prof. Michael Gibbert, and Prof. Kelly L. Haws provides an incredible foundation for developing meaningful insights and building expertise in my areas of interest.
Consumer behavior, AI, Price fairness perceptions, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing.
I will strive to conduct rigorous research that contributes valuable insights into AI infused pricing strategies and its impact on consumer perceptions. I am highly motivated to publish in high-impact journals and contribute to the academic community at BFH.
The fact that I can walk into a room and immediately forget why I'm there.
For me, sustainability is about making decisions that positively impact people, society, and the environment, with a sense of accountability for those decisions. It means building systems that respect nature, support a strong economy, and improve social well-being, so future generations can thrive, not just survive.
