WASHINGTON, D.C. - Corn Refiners Association President and CEO John Bode issued the following statement on President-elect Donald Trump naming Jamieson Greer as his pick to serve as the next U.S. Trade Representative.
"CRA is pleased to see someone of Jamieson Greer's caliber picked to serve in such a critical position for the food and agriculture economy. As one who knows the office, the policies, and the legal tools of trade, he will bring a wealth of experience to the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative during a pivotal time. We look forward to working with him to open market access and on the review of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement. We also appreciate the leadership Greer will bring as the United States navigates a challenging relationship with China and securing rules-based economic partnerships around the world.
"International trade has been critical to the success of U.S. agriculture production and agricultural manufacturing, and CRA stands ready to work with Greer and his team to ensure that success continues. We enthusiastically support his nomination."
