Charlotte County Government Thanksgiving Holiday Schedule

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Nov. 20, 2024) - Charlotte County Government offices and facilities will follow these schedules on Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29, in observance of Thanksgiving:

Charlotte County government business offices, including Charlotte County Administration Center - Closed.

Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach Visitor & Convention Bureau Office - Closed. Visitors with questions on things to do can visit www.PureFlorida.com.

The Utilities Department (water & sewer) customer service will be closed. You can still pay your bill using our convenient electronic billing which can be found at www.CharlotteCountyFL.gov (under the Departments menu, click the Utilities link). You can also pay your bill by phone at 941-764-4300. Standby staff will be on call for utility emergencies at 941-764-4300.

Garbage collection - No collection service on Thursday, Nov. 28. Thursday collection will occur on Friday and Friday collection will occur on Saturday.
Mid-County Transfer Facility - Will close at 8 p.m. on Nov. 27.
Transfer stations (both West County and Mid-County) - Closed Nov. 28. Open at 8 a.m. on Nov. 29
Zemel Road Landfill - Closed Nov. 28. Open Nov. 29.

Storm debris collection - Half-day collection service on Nov. 27. No collection on Nov. 28 and Nov. 29.

Community Services Administration Offices - Closed.
Charlotte County Libraries and History Services Offices - Closed Nov. 28 and 29.
Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center Offices - Closed.
Charlotte Sports Park county offices - Closed.

Libraries:

• Mid-County Regional Library - Remains Closed.
• Port Charlotte Public Library - Closed Nov. 28 and 29.
• Englewood Charlotte Public Library - Closed Nov. 28 and 29.
• Punta Gorda Charlotte Library - Closed Nov. 28 and 29.
• Centennial Park Curbside Pickup - Closed Nov. 28 and 29.

Skate Parks:

• Captain Don Cerbone Memorial Skate Park - Open.
• J.M. Berlin/Rotary Skate Park - Remains closed.

Recreation Centers:

• Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Park Recreation Center - Closed Nov. 28 and 29.
• Centennial Park Recreation Center - Closed Nov. 28., Open 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Nov. 29,
• South County Regional Park Recreation Center - Closed Nov. 28 and 29.
• Harold Avenue Regional Park Recreation Center - Closed Nov. 28 and 29.

Pools:

• Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Park Pool - Closed Nov. 28 and 29.
• Centennial Park Pool - Closed Nov. 28 Open 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Nov. 29
• South County Regional Park Pool - Closed Nov. 28 and 29.

Charlotte County Transit - Closed Nov. 28, 29, and 30.

All Human Services Offices - Closed.

Fire & EMS Headquarters will be closed - All other stations will be open.
