Baker McKenzie Enhances Data, Cyber and Technology Team in the United Arab Emirates with Prominent Partner Hire
Leading global law firm Baker McKenzie has hired Dino Wilkinson as a partner and head of the Firm's Middle East Data, Cyber and Technology practice. Dino's arrival further enhances the Firm's global data, cyber and technology offering and underscores the continued growth of the Firm's capabilities in the Middle East.
Dino joins from Clyde & Co in Abu Dhabi where he served as a partner and led the Middle East technology, media and telecommunications law practice, also playing a key role in developing the firm's international technology, data and outsourcing practice. He brings more than 12 years of extensive experience advising blue-chip corporate and government clients on technology contracting, technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) regulatory issues, and data protection compliance and cybersecurity matters.
Dino has also collaborated with regional governments and regulatory authorities on significant legislative and regulatory developments, including the drafting of electronic commerce laws, data sharing regulations and privacy legislation. He is recognized as one of the most prominent lawyers in the market, including being included in The Legal 500 Hall of Fame and ranked Band 1 for TMT by Chambers & Partners.

Dino's expertise covers a wide range of technology-related contracts, such as outsourcing agreements, software development and licensing, data processing, and research and collaboration agreements. He has worked on projects of both regional and international significance, including mobile app and internet product launches, national digital wallet schemes, and information and communication technology infrastructure rollouts.

Dino's appointment follows a series of strategic hires across Baker McKenzie's Middle East & North Africa offices, including Sally Kotb who joined the Firm as a dispute resolution partner based in Dubai earlier this month, Adil Hussain, who joined the Firm's UAE offices last year as Head of Banking & Finance in and Global Head of Islamic Finance, and Sahal Khalawi, who also joined last year as a Regulatory and Public Policy partner in Saudi Arabia.
Dino is admitted to practice in England and Wales.
