Matt Savare Grows Publishing Contract Practice with Representation of Author Tamsen Fadal

Lowenstein Sandler partner Matt Savare, Chair of the firm's Commercial Contracts practice, represented author Tamsen Fadal in negotiations with publisher Hachette Go, as well as all ancillary agreements surrounding the release of her new book, How to Menopause: Take Charge of Your Health, Reclaim Your Life, and Feel Even Better than Before.

This book offers cutting-edge research from over 42 experts, including neuroscientists, menopause-certified doctors, sex and relationship therapists, sleep doctors, and lifestyle coaches to help women thrive through menopause mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Fadal is an Emmy award-winning journalist, documentary filmmaker, and menopause advocate. She is the creator, producer, and co-executive producer of the PBS documentary The M Factor, Shredding the Silence on Menopause, which is the first documentary of its kind confronting the neglected menopause crisis, challenging societal and medical shortcomings, and advocating for a revolutionary approach to women's health. Fadal holds a certificate in holistic health coaching from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), serves on the national board of Let's Talk Menopause, and is a strong voice in the fight against breast cancer after losing her mother to the disease in 1990.

A veteran of high-profile representations in the digital advertising, media, and entertainment sectors, Savare represents clients in copyright, trademark, trade secret, and right-of-publicity matters. He regularly drafts and negotiates endorsement and personal appearance deals for athletes, celebrities, and major brands; he has also represented celebrities in high-profile entertainment and intellectual property disputes, including defending a copyright infringement suit filed by the Estate of Frank Zappa and assisting in the successful defense of David Chase in connection with The Sopranos.

In addition to his role leading the Commercial Contracts group, Savare also serves s as Vice-Chair of Lowenstein Crypto, and frequently works on matters with the firm's Emerging Companies & Venture Capital and IP & Tech Transactions groups.
