Public Notice: Proposed Permit - Rocky Mountain Incineration CheyenneIn accordance with the provisions of the Wyoming Environmental Quality Act and Chapter 1 of the Solid Waste Rules, Rocky Mountain Incineration, LLC has submitted a new permit application for the Rocky Mountain Incineration-Cheyenne Facility. This facility provides for the transfer, treatment and storage of non-hazardous regulated electronic waste and secure information destruction which have been generated within Wyoming and Colorado. The 2.105-acre facility is located at 1938 Wyott Drive Unit D6 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. More specifically, this facility is located in Section 8, Township 13N Range 6W, in Laramie County, Wyoming. The total capacity of this facility is estimated to be 3 cubic yards of waste and 100 lbs of ash and slag material. The life of the facility is indefinite. The Department of Environmental Quality, Solid and Hazardous Waste Division (DEQ) has determined that the permit application is generally complete and technically adequate. Therefore, DEQ issued a proposed permit for the facility. Copies of the permit application, DEQ's review of the application, and the proposed permit can be viewed at DEQ's Cheyenne office, 200 W 17th Street, Cheyenne, WY 82002. Any interested party has the right to file written comments, including objections on the proposed permit. The period for providing written comments on the proposed permit shall begin on October 30, 2024, and end on December 6, 2024. Any written comments must be received by 5:00 PM on the last day of the notice period. Comments must be submitted in writing to the Department of Environmental Quality, Todd Parfitt, Director, 200 West 17th Street, Cheyenne, WY 82002 or submitted using the DEQ comment portal provided at https://shw.wyomingdeq.commentinput.com/.
