Slow moving striping operation coming to I 435/I 470 in Jackson County Wednesday, Oct. 23

JACKSON COUNTY - Motorists should be prepared for backups as a scheduled slow moving striping operation, led by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, will take place on westbound Interstates 435/470 at approximately 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23, starting at Raytown Rd and moving at 12 mph to Stateline Rd until noon. The operation will then move eastbound from Stateline Rd to Blue Ridge Blvd until approximately 3 p.m. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes if possible to avoid the traffic backups. All work times are approximate and weather permitting.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
