Downtown Bike Corridor Construction Begins October 14

Beginning Monday, October 14, the City's contractor will be removing and replacing areas of sidewalk, pavement, traffic signs, and pavement markings in several locations, and installing an enhanced bicycle and pedestrian crossing on Union Avenue at Cherry Street, in downtown Olympia. The work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 am - 6:00 pm, from October 14 through November 26, weather permitting.
Travelers can expect lane restrictions and traffic delays and should choose an alternate route if possible. Flaggers will direct motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists through the construction areas. Access to driveways may be temporarily disrupted during the construction process.

• Washington Street from 7th Avenue to 10th Avenue
• 10th Avenue from Washington Street to Cherry Street
• Cherry Street from 10th Avenue to 11th Avenue
• 11th Avenue from Cherry Street to Chestnut Street
• Chestnut Street from 11th Avenue to 15th Avenue
• Eastside Street from I-5 to Wheeler Avenue
