Portillo's (NASDAQ: PTLO) - the fast-casual restaurant concept known for its menu of unrivaled Chicago-style street food, officially opened the doors of its second restaurant in the Detroit-area and will celebrate with a grand opening on Thursday, June 20 at 10:30 a.m., following a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:00 a.m.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will include Portillo's VP of Restaurant Support, Michael Portillo. During the ceremony, Portillo's will also present its charity partners, Livonia Education Foundation (LPS) and Breaking Barriers for Kids and Families, with a $5,000 check, each.
Located in Millennium Park, a 600,000 square-foot Power Center located at the intersection of I-96 and Middlebelt, the 7,900 square-foot restaurant will feature a dining room with seating for more than 175, as well as a seasonal outdoor patio with room for about 50 additional guests. The restaurant also features the brand's signature double drive-thru lanes, Portillo's Pick Up area and Portillo's new Grab and Go display for food, beverage and retail items. Guests can look forward to enjoying Portillo's signature menu items, including Chicago-style Hot Dogs, Italian Beef Sandwiches, Char-Grilled Burgers, crispy crinkle cut French fries and the Company's beloved Chocolate Cake.
Guests are invited to sign up for Portillo's Birthday Club to receive the most up to date Portillo's information. Fans who sign up also receive a slice of Portillo's homemade chocolate cake on their birthday.
