Minister of State Lindner issued the following statement today (22 November 2024) prior to his departure for the Halifax Security Forum being held in Halifax, Canada:
The Halifax Security Forum provides a good opportunity following the recent elections in the United States to talk to American and Canadian partners about the forthcoming Trump Administration and to actively shape our joint role as transatlantic partners. In light of the crises facing us all, I will use the conference to set out our position and look for solutions together. It is especially important at this time to explain the current situation in Germany to our partners and to assure them that Germany is a country on which they can rely.
Minister of State Lindner is in Halifax, Canada, from 22 to 24 November 2024 to attend the Halifax Security Forum. The Forum focuses on global security challenges and its purpose is to provide a framework for developing joint solutions and strengthening cooperation. In addition to numerous bilateral talks, Minister of State Lindner will take part in a panel discussion on Ukraine's reconstruction.
