Franklin Street water outage and road closure planned for water valve replacement

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Clarksville Gas & Water has planned a water outage on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 10 p.m. on Franklin Street from S. 2nd Street to S. 3rd Street for water valve replacement.

Low water pressure may be possible for the vicinity during the work.

In preparation of the work, utility construction crews will close Franklin Street from S. 3rd Street to N. 2nd Street and on N. 2nd Street from Strawberry Alley to Franklin Street at 7 p.m. Traffic will be detoured to N. 3rd Street and Strawberry Alley to avoid the work zone. Motorists are advised to slow down and be alert to workers and their equipment.

The water valve replacement is anticipated to be finished and water service restored by approximately 5 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 18.
