ACCGov Schedule & Service Changes for Veterans Day on Mon., Nov. 11

Animal Services

• The Animal Shelter will be closed on Monday, November 11. The shelter will resume normal operating hours on Tuesday, November 12.
• Animal Service s officers will not be available for non-emergency calls on Monday, November 11. Non-emergency service calls will resume on Tuesday, November 12.
• Emergency services - such as an animal bite, a seriously sick or injured animal, or an animal trapped inside a living space of a home - will be provided throughout the holiday by calling 911.

Leisure Services

• ACC Leisure Services parks will operate under reduced hours from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Monday, November 11. Sandy Creek Park is closed on Mondays and will be closed on Monday, November 11.
• All other department facilities (Sandy Creek Nature Center, Lyndon House Arts Center, all community centers) will be closed on Monday, November 11.
• All parks and facilities will reopen on Tuesday, November 12 under regular hours of operation.

Solid Waste

• Solid Waste offices will be closed on Monday, November 11.
• Residential garbage and recycling collection will be delayed by one day and collected as follows: collection normally scheduled for Monday will be collected on Tuesday, Tuesday collection will be collected on Wednesday, Wednesday collection will be collected on Thursday, and Thursday collection will be collected on Friday.
• Downtown district commercial and residential curbside, roll cart, and dumpster garbage and recycling services will be collected as regularly scheduled.
• All other commercial curbside, roll cart, and recycling services will be delayed by one day and collected as follows: collection normally scheduled for Monday will be collected on Tuesday, Tuesday collection will be collected on Wednesday, Wednesday collection will be collected on Thursday, and Thursday collection will be collected on Friday.
• Leaf and limb collection will be Tuesday, November 12 through Friday, November 15. Crews will be finishing up collecting in Area D and will begin collection in Area E. There is no collection on Monday, November 11. The next area is subject to change based on the final collection from the week of November 4 - see accgov.com/leaflimb for updates.
• The Materials Recycling Facility will be closed on Monday, November 11 resuming regular hours of operation on Tuesday, November 12.
• The Landfill will be closed on Monday, November 11 resuming regular hours of operation on Tuesday, November 12.
• The CHaRM facility is closed on Mondays and will be closed on Monday, November 11. The regular hours of operation will resume on Tuesday, November 12.

Transit

• Bus service is suspended on Monday, November 11.
• Transit offices will be closed on Monday, November 11.

Other Offices

All general departmental administrative offices and facilities (City Hall, Courthouse, Satula Avenue Building, Dougherty Street Governmental Building) will be closed on Monday, November 11. Regular hours of operation resume on Tuesday, November 12.
