On the evening of November 13, 2024, law enforcement responded to reports of an altercation involving students at Corning Community College, located at 1 Academic Drive, Corning, NY. Campus Safety alerted authorities to an incident involving alleged assaults that took place at Perry Hall, a dormitory on campus.
An investigation determined two victims, an 18-year-old female and an 18-year-old male, were interviewed by troopers after reporting multiple individuals physically assaulted them. The incident reportedly began earlier in the day, escalating into a confrontation outside one of the victim's dorm rooms.
Both victims received medical evaluations. The male victim declined further treatment, while the female victim was transported to Guthrie Corning Hospital for additional care.
Campus Safety provided surveillance footage of the incident, which showed a group of five males approaching the victim's dorm room, followed by a physical altercation. The individuals involved were identified as students.
Law enforcement canvassed the dormitory, ultimately detaining and charging the following suspects:
All suspects were processed at SP Painted Post and taken to Steuben County Jail for CAP arraignment.
The New York State Police were assisted by the Steuben County Sheriff's Office, Corning Community College Campus Safety, and AMR Ambulance.
