Airport STEAM Festival on October 19

Murfreesboro Airport is hosting an Airport STEAM Festival event Saturday, Oct. 19! The Airport invites the public to engage STEAM from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. to learn how airplanes fly and what the Murfreesboro Airport does for the surrounding community.

The list of participants in the Murfreesboro Airport STEAM Festival event include:

  • Veterans of Foreign Wars: showcasing how to get involved with the local post and serve your veterans
  • 101st Airborne: AH-64E Apache
  • TN Army Nation Guard: UH-60 Blackhawk
  • Experimental Aircraft Association: a very active local chapter will be showcasing:
    • How Airplanes Fly
    • Microsoft Flight Simulator
    • Several personal, member owned, aircraft that are based at MBT
  • Murfreesboro Municipal Airport Staff welcoming you to MBT and sharing with you the current events of the airport
  • Middle Tennessee State University: DA-40, showcasing their aircraft maintenance lab, their drone operations, as well as showcasing their collegiate opportunities
  • Murfreesboro Police: showing their tools of the trade in keeping our community safe
  • Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue: Ladder 6 t
  • LifeFlight (Vanderbilt) will be showcasing their medical evac helicopters
