PALMDALE, CA - The City of Palmdale has announced the cancellation of the final Farmers Market event of the season, initially scheduled for Friday, November 15, due to predicted cold temperatures and windy weather.
"While we are disappointed to end the Farmers Market one week early, the safety of our vendors and community members is our top priority," said Mayor Austin Bishop. "This inaugural season has exceeded our expectations, bringing our community together and creating a new tradition that Palmdale residents have fully embraced."
The Farmers Market has served as a hub for local vendors to showcase their products while providing residents with a welcoming environment to connect with neighbors and support local businesses. Live music each month and the newly upgraded playground facility at Oasis Park have contributed to the fun of these gatherings.
"The success of our Farmers Market shows how much our community values fresh, local produce and artisanal goods," said Mayor Pro Tem Richard Loa. "We are immensely grateful to all the vendors and community members who have cemented this as a new tradition in Palmdale."
The City looks forward to welcoming everyone back next spring. Until then, residents are encouraged to stay warm and safe during the holiday season.
