Rule 144
Valérie Devaux (Renew), Grégory Allione (Renew)
From 29 October 2024 eastern Spain was struck by torrential rainfall that led to catastrophic flooding. More than 200 people have already lost their lives and the material damage is substantial. Such disasters have been multiplying in Europe in recent years.
-

-
2.Is an emergency procedure envisaged, so that Spain can benefit from this European solidarity mechanism as quickly as possible and can help European citizens affected by this natural disaster?
-
3.Is the Commission planning to reform the EU Solidarity Fund so as to ensure that there is a sufficient budget to respond effectively to natural disasters and provide immediate support to affected populations?
