Charges authorized in Harrison Township murder

Mount Clemens, MI - Today, Karl Johnson, 28-years-old from Southfield, was arraigned on one count of 'Homicide - Murder First Degree - Premeditated' for the murder of Roger Palmer. This felony charge carries a penalty of life without parole.

The homicide occurred at Immanuel & Associates (41400 Executive Drive - building owned by Sumeeko Industries Co.) in Harrison Township in the early morning hours of October 11, 2024.

Johnson was arraigned today at 41B District Court, Clinton Township, 48036. Bond was set at $5-million cash/surety only, with the condition of a steel cuff tether if released. The next court appearance is set for October 29, 2024, time to be determined.

Units within the Sheriff's Office that played an integral part in the apprehension of this suspect include the Detective Bureau, Macomb Area Computer Enforcement Team (M.A.C.E.) and the Sheriff's Enforcement Team (S.E.T.).
