PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (Oct. 23, 2024) - Homecoming Week has arrived, and Prairie View A&M University has provided important information to ensure a safe and smooth experience for all attendees. Please review the following details for parking, shuttle stops and road closures to help navigate the festivities.
Designated parking zones will be available throughout Homecoming Week. Shuttle stops for guests are marked on Friday and Saturday's maps. Review the maps for each day below:
Road closures will begin on Friday, October 25, at 5 p.m. within the Homecoming Zone. The following intersections will be closed:
Once road closures are in place, traffic will not be permitted in these areas. Driving around barricades without a permit will result in a citation.
Additionally, University Drive will be closed on Saturday, October 26, from 6 to 11 a.m. for the Homecoming Parade. Parade parking will be available on the north side of campus.
To avoid road closures and traffic delays, consider the following alternate routes:
Heavy traffic may be expected on Saturday along US-290 W due to other major football games happening on the same day, including:
