Pursuant to Election Law § 5-202, the Tioga County Board of Elections has designated Local Registration Days for the following dates and times, at the Tioga County Board of Elections office, 1062 State Route 38, Owego.
Saturday, October 5th, 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Thursday, October 10th, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Any eligible resident of Tioga County may come in person to register to vote. To register, you must:
- be a United States Citizen
- be 18 years old (you may pre-register at 16 or 17 but cannot vote until you are 18)
- not be in prison for a felony conviction
- not claim the right to vote elsewhere
- not be found to be incompetent by a court
If you are unable to register in person, you may:
- call 607-687-8261 to request a registration form be mailed to you by the Board of Elections
- register to vote online at ny.gov or dmv.ny.gov
The deadline to register before the 2024 general election on November 5 is October 26, 2024.
