Twigs Takes All in the International Holstein Show

MADISON, WIS. - The Grand Champion of the International Holstein Show, is Jeffrey-Way Hard Rock Twigs, exhibited by Doeberiener, Bowen and P.Conroy of West Salem, Ohio. Twigs topped the Four-Year-Old Cow class, before going on to win Senior Champion and Grand Champion honors. With that title, Twigs takes home the Allen Hetts Grand Champion Trophy and the $1000 Udder Comfort Grand Champion Award. Reserve Grand Champion honors went to Oakfield Solomon Footloose-ET, exhibited by Showbox Sires and Vierra Dairy of Rudolph, Wis.

Intermediate Champion of the International Holstein Show went to RJR Discjockey 7509-ET, the first place Senior Three-Year-Old, exhibited by Doeberiener, P. Conroy, and Butlerview of West Salem, Ohio. Reserve Intermediate Champion honors went Eixdale Pwrup Alongside, exhibited by Milk Source Genetics of Kaukauna, Wis.

Junior Champion of the International Holstein Show honors went to the winning Spring Yearling, Genesee Altitude Leah, owned by Doeberiener & Bowen, Conroy, Clarkvalley, and Osinga of West Salem, Ohio. The top Fall Yearling, Lyn-Vale Just Believe In Me, took home the title of Reserve Junior Champion, owned by Quality Holsteins, Breckridge, and Agriber of Vaughan, Ontario.

Premier Breeder honors went to Ferme Jacobs Inc. of Cap-Sante, Quebec. Premier Exhibitor honors went to Butlerview Farm of Chebanse, Ill. Ferme Petitclerc et Fils, of St-Basile, Quebec, was the Premier Breeder and Exhibitor of the Heifer Show. The Premier Sire of the International Holstein Show was Farnear Delta Lambda-ET, while Golden-Oaks Master-ET is the Premier Sire of the Heifer Show.

Official judge, Jamie Black of Batavia, N.Y., and associate judge, Aaron Eaton of Mariette, N.Y., evaluated the 397 entries.
