Worcester Fire Department to Award 26, Promote 17 at Ceremony Thursday

WORCESTER, Mass. - The City of Worcester will host a ceremony recognizing the promotion of 17 members of the Worcester Fire Department on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 4 p.m. at Doherty Memorial High School.

The promotions include a new Assistant Chief, Deputy Chief, District Chief, 2 Captains, and 12 lieutenants.

Twenty-six members of the WFD will be awarded for heroism, bravery, and valor.
Members of the press are welcome to attend and cover the ceremony.
